Actually, when we set a poem to music. it’s like setting to music an existing song. But Supreme Master Ching Hai’s verses were emotionally stirring to me. Many of her poems are very lovely. Many of them are innocent and very genuine. There isn’t a bit of superficialness in them. They touched my heart, so I wrote the music.
