I think it’s probably because of the largeness of the Supreme Master’s soul that she has
the kind of largeness of artistic temperament. I was looking for poems that were contrasting in subject matter. And I felt they were more deserving of a kind of art song setting, like they were almost classical songs, so I took that approach.
