I was very, very taken back by how beautiful her [Supreme Master Ching Hai’s] work is.

She’s actually designed not only small lanterns and things of that nature but dresses and things of that nature. I feel that art comes from spirituality. It’s being open enough to let in the world and let in all the different facets of the world. And then you create something from that in order for people to be able to have a realization of something in their life. I enjoy the idea that someone that has that much talent that comes through spirituality, that she’s able to share that with people.
