I saw some seagulls shared food with wild ducks. I think these pictures were taken in many different places. There are different birds in different places and there are different animals as well. But the noble nature of the animals is the same. So regardless of whether they are ducks or geese, we are brought into the lively pictures. Why? For example, there is a goose in the picture who appears to be self contented. Maybe this reflects Master Ching Hai' contentedness. So in this case, the spirit of the photographer and the spirit of the animal become one. They are consistent. I think if a person is not compassionate, his/her action will not reflect this quality. If he/she is compassionate, he/she will see all beings as his/her equal. So you see that when she tried to feed the geese and ducks, she rowed a boat herself to the middle of the lake, as if she lives with the groups of wild ducks and wild geese. There are fewer and fewer people in the world who have such a mindset. Why? It’s because they don’t have such leisurely and carefree mood. They don’t think of doing that.

So I feel that when Master was taking these pictures, She was expressing Her inner state of mind as well. Her heart is very carefree.

That's why we organized the photography exhibition for protecting ecology. The exhibition is trying to send a message through art works. There is one saying, "Art is a way to express what touched you to others so that they can be touched as well." I think Master took pictures of the things that touched her and these pictures become art pieces. When these art pieces are hung up in this exhibition hall for me to see, I understand the message and am touched by the pictures.

The main purpose is that Master is very merciful, she cares for the animals and she wants to tell us that we should protect the earthly resources and don’t kill animals. We should not catch any wild bird at will or destroy the balance of ecology. It doesn’t matter how good her photographic skill is. I think beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Some experts in photographing birds might think that there is nothing special in these pictures. But you should know that if a person can stay quietly in a mountainous area and take time to observe the life of the animals and take their pictures to publish, he/she is not an ordinary person. If a person is not wise, he/she can't understand the relationship between animals and humans.

Master once said that, "Sharing is a virtue." When she lived with the wild animals, she felt love and comfort, so she took pictures of those loving moments. When we see the intelligent animals appear in Master's pictures, we feel that all beings are equal. Animals are the same as us. We can talk, the animals can talk as well. They can also sing.
