This art work touched me so deeply because it is a reconstruction of the original scene, which allows me to really feel the deep love of the mother swan. Compared to us, her physique is very different, yet her love for her babies, the new lives, is much more intense than ours. She is more willing to sacrifice and give more. After viewing this art work, I was quite emotional within. This reproduction of the original scene, with something similar to the mother swan's feathers on the floor, is very realistic. It shows us that there is a lot that we still have to learn from all the living beings in this world.

The design of The Swan Egg is such that the two participants could not see each other. One is inside and one outside. It presents in a realistic way how our outer self communicates with our inner self. I feel that we may have to use a different language in talking to our inner self or to something that we cannot see, perhaps to the whole creation, perhaps the trees, the flowers, or many other living beings. Actually, we don't always have to use our own language. Humans often use their own language or values to define many things, but we are not the only living beings on this planet. Therefore, the design of The Swan Egg conveys a very profound message. One participant is inside the swan egg while another participant is outside, and they are unable to see each other. Through a feeble voice, similar to the very feeble voice deep in our hearts, we try to communicate with our own self, and with the whole creation. This is a unique experience, especially if the participants are parents and children.

I feel that this exhibition, including these reconstructed original scenes, and other innovative designs, are truly fantastic and are very helpful to the numerous viewers.
