Origin of The Noble Wilds Photo Exhibitions Worldwide

"The animals' presence" expands our hearts, leading us to a beautiful meadow of life… merging with Nature, unspoiled and uncomplicated.”

                                                                                                ~ Supreme Ching Hai ~

In February 2008, Supreme Master Ching Hai published The Noble Wilds, the third one of Her animal book series, which is the real life record of the interaction between the author and Her animal friends by the shore of Lake Amoura for over a year. The beautifully romantic verses and wildlife photography in the book invoke love and concern in the audience for the animals and the Earth. The English edition of The Noble Wilds became a bestseller on Amazon.com – the biggest online book store in the world. The Chinese edition of this book also became a bestseller on Kingstone.com bookstore in Formosa. This book has been translated and published in several languages and is widely acclaimed in many countries.

At the book launch celebration held at the Taipei International Book Fair in Formosa, Supreme Master Ching Hai called on all people to do their best to protect all lives and this beautiful planet, because this is the home shared by humans and all living beings and all life forms are actually closely related and cannot be separated.

Addressing the global warming crisis that the planet is facing, Supreme Master Ching Hai emphasized: "Since we possess more abilities than the animals, we should take immediate and positive actions to be veg, go green, so that we can take control of the crisis and reverse the harm that has been already done."

In addition to reading this book, in order for the readers to further appreciate the nobility and deep feelings of the animals, Supreme Master Ching Hai consented to exhibit the precious visual images with which She recorded the wonders and secrets of nature through Her heart, Her love, and Her gentle yet acute perception. The first of the series of The Noble Wilds Photo Exhibitions was held in October 2009 at the Shigang Tourist Center in Taichung, Formosa. This series of exhibitions is a combination of large photographs, cultural performances, live installation art, and guided viewing. Each exhibition that followed featured different programs including drama, vegan cooking demonstrations, poetry recitals and calligraphy exhibitions held in coordination with local artists. Each program was trying to reproduce the beautiful scenery of Lake Amoura for the viewers, and guide them to experience the divine dimension on Earth as depicted in The Noble Wilds, so that they could have a taste of the beautiful life that all living beings can enjoy together under mutual understanding, love, and peace.
