Even the seemingly lighthearted painted fans are fantastic! I presume the Supreme Master didn’t study calligraphy, yet the lines She drew were so firm and steady. The long lines are bold and firm as if written in cursive script. This is very rare. Furthermore, the colors She uses are very bold. These two points are expressed in fans of different shapes, which I have never seen in works by other artists. I can almost feel the cooling wind from these fans.
